A SMALL MOVE YOU CAN USE TODAY

What’s inside

A warm ending is useful. An agreed next step gives you something to act on.

FROM THE GUIDE / Say this before you leave

Let’s put something on the calendar before we lose the thread. What does your week look like?

01 / RECOGNIZE

Make the next conversation worth scheduling

Use this when you both have a reason to continue, such as discussing a role, reviewing an idea, or making an introduction. Name that reason first: “I’d like to hear more about the role you mentioned.” Then ask the question.

02 / RESPOND

Notice what was actually agreed

A date, an introduction, or permission to send two possible times gives you a next action. “Things are busy right now” leaves timing unresolved.

03 / FOLLOW THROUGH

Use one easy alternative

If they cannot schedule now, ask: “Would it help if I sent two times for next week?” If they decline, thank them and leave it there. If they agree, send the options with one sentence about the purpose.
